With the Delta Variant of the COVID-19 virus hitting hard in low-vaccinated communities, Fitzgibbon Hospital and affiliated clinics have implemented walk-in clinics to remove obstacles to getting the vaccine.
According to a press release, last week Fitzgibbon Hospital added 44 more Saline County residents to the percentage of persons who have initiated the vaccination process.
To be considered fully vaccinated, an individual must receive both of the recommended injection.
Health experts and Fitzgibbon Hospital encourage individuals to seek out the vaccination. Anyone age 12 and older can receive the Pfizer vaccine. However, minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Upcoming clinics include:
- The Fitzgibbon Hospital Atrium in Marshall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 30.
- Akeman McBurney Medical Clinic in Slater from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3.
- Grand River Medical Clinic in Brunswick from 9 a.m. noon and 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4.
- Fitzgibbon Family Health in Fayette from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4.
