While six counties in the KMMO listening area do not have any issues for voters to decide this week, three ballot measures will be before registered voters in three separate cities in Lafayette County during the special election.
According to the Lafayette County Clerk’s office, the ballot language in Concordia asks: Shall the city be authorized to increase its general fund levy by 35 cents per $100 of assessed value to be used for general municipal purposes- including but not limited to- funding the acquisition of and improvements to Concordia Park (Southside Park), walking trails, new bathrooms, playground equipment and other park improvements; provided that 85 percent of all proceeds of such increase received by the city must be used to fund park operations and park-improvement projects?
Voters go to the polls to cast their votes from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 3.
