One area county has three issues put before voters in three separate cities during the special election on Tuesday, August 3.

In addition to measures before residents in Higginsville and Concordia, residents in Lexington also will be voting on an issue.

According to the Lafayette County Clerk’s office, the ballot language asks:

Shall the city of Lexington be authorized to continue its current transportation sales tax in the amount of one-half cent upon the payment of its revenue bonds with the revenues received by the city from the sales tax to continue to be used only for roadway purposes? This will not result in any additional or new tax, and will only be used for road construction and maintenance purposes.

Voters go to the polls to cast their votes from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
