After more than 16 inches of rain fell at the KMMO Studio in Marshall during the month of June, July was much drier, and the average high temperature stayed about the same.

According to numbers provided by the National Weather Service, only 2.85 inches of rain fell in Marshall in the 31-day month- including 94-hundredths of a inch on July 1.

The average high temperature was 86 degrees, down a tenth from June’s average of 86.1 degrees. The high of 96 was recorded on July 30.

The average low temperature was 68.4 degrees, with a low of 64 registered on July 18, 19 and 21.
