Active positive cases of COVID-19 are well into double digits- including one in triple digits- in some area counties as of Tuesday, August 3.

According to Pettis County Health Center officials, there are 250 active cases- up 46 from July 26. There are 14 residents currently hospitalized.

In Saline County, Health Department officials say, out of current active cases 61 are unvaccinated individuals (two first-doses only); eight are unknown; 20 are vaccinated individuals; 10 are under age; and six persons are hospitalized.

In Lafayette County, there are 92 active cases, including 13 hospitalizations.

In Chariton County, there are 27 active cases.

Also, as of Monday, August 2, Howard County reported 38 active cases and three hospitalized.
