Russell Eugene Breshears, 78, of rural Nelson, MO, died Wednesday, August 4, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 9, at Marshall Family Worship Center with Pastor Mark Gooden officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery north of Marshall.  Visitation will be from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born March 9, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Elmer Marvin Breshears and Martha Marie Moore Breshears.  Russell lived in Saline County his entire life and was a lifelong truck driver.

Survivors include five children: Dora Corlew of Slater, Ronnie Breshears (Lucinda) of rural Nelson, Timmy Lee Breshears (Evelyn) of Slater, Michael Breshears (Loretta) of Carrollton and Jerri D. Breshears of Chillicothe; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; five siblings: Marvina Green of Blackwater, Francis Breshears of Urbana, Karen Darling of Marshall, Reta Allison of rural Marshall and Kevin Breshears of Hughesville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lawana Breshears; and six siblings: Ronnie Breshears, Terry Breshears, Keith Breshears, Shirley Breshears, Cheryl White and Charles Breshears.
