Warner A. Perkins, 91, of Marshall, died Thursday, August 5, at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in rural Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Golden Oaks Assisted Living and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born March 25, 1930, in Cooper County, MO, he was the son of the late Ollie Perkins and Alma Smith Kincheloe.  Warner was raised in the Cooper County area, was a graduate of Pilot Grove High School and was an avid race fan in his younger years.  On July 3, 1971, he married Donna J. McGinnis who preceded him in death on February 19, 1994.  Warner’s career was spent as an over the road freight driver and he was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four children: Donna Lyon (Terry) of Marshall, W. Daryl Perkins (Brenda) of Marshall, Debbie Cartee (Rickey) of Warsaw and Donald Jackson of Nashville, TN; a former daughter-in-law, Kim Jackson of rural Hardeman; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Flora Ann Perkins of Moberly; his longtime companion, Gladys Fenwick of Marshall; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Warner was preceded in death by his parents and wife; his step father, Eugene Kincheloe; and one brother, Nolan Perkins.
