During the Saline County Commission meeting on Thursday, August 5, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. said he received a letter from David Kramer, Executive Director and CEO of SB 40. Guthrey said Kramer replaced Ann Graff who retired.

Guthrey gave more information about the board appointee.

In other business, commissioners approved the hiring of Steven Root for full-time position in the Jail Division at the Sheriff’s Department. Root is a Marshall residents and serves as a volunteer firefighter and a first responder for a county fire protection district. Root’s first day will be Monday, August 9.
