Tuesday, August 10, 2021, marks the 200th anniversary of Missouri statehood.
Missouri 2021 encourages communities across the state to commemorate the day with an ice cream social. An ice cream social is a most appropriate way to celebrate Missouri since the ice cream cone is the official state dessert.
According to missouri2021.org, there are several ice cream socials scheduled on the docket in the KMMO listening area.
Events are scheduled to be held on Tuesday in most area counties.
