Due to a change and assessed valuation, Pettis County Health Center is scheduled to hold a hearing to set the tax rate.
A public hearing is scheduled to be held at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 19 in the lobby of the Pettis County Health Center.
At the time, residents may speak on property tax rates, proposed to be set to produce the revenue which the budget from the year 2021 shows to be required from property tax.
City officials say individual tax rates are shown as cents per $100 valuation. Tax rates can be determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current accessed valuation, and multiplying the total by 100.
The proposed tax rate for Pettis County is .09.
