
A drug arrest was made by an area law-enforcement agency on Tuesday, August 10.
According to a press release from the Sedalia Police Department, at approximately 6:30 p.m., detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit and uniformed patrol officers responded to 1815 South Lamine Avenue to serve a no-knock drug-related search warrant. At the residence, entry was forced through the front door, and contact was made with two adults. A male and female subject were apprehended without incident.
K-9 Charlie was deployed within the residence and provided a positive alert to the presence of illegal drugs. A detailed search was conducted, and authorities say they located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia items.
A 33-year-old female was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. State charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia are being sought.
Per KMMO Policy, the name of the suspect will not be released until formal charges are filed by the Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney.
