Marshall Municipal Utilities is scheduled to hold an informational meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, at the Martin Community Center.

MMU says the purpose of this meeting is to inform MMU sewer customers of the improvements needed to the Marshall Wastewater Treatment Plant and the funding requirements for these improvements. A portion of the funding requirements will need to be met by a rate increase for customers receiving sewer service.

MMU will be joined by Burns & McDonnell, the Project Engineer, to present the scope and details of the project.

In addition to holding the in-person meeting, MMU will livestream for customers who are unable to attend. Social distancing will be required for customers who attend in person and face masks are recommended.
