The photo of a possible suspect provided by the Higginsville Police Department on Wednesday, August 11, who was involved in a pursuit has been cleared as the suspect in that incident.
This is in regards to a vehicle pursuit near 25th and Walnut Streets at approximately 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
Authorities say the driver of the vehicle could not be located after fleeing on foot. The driver allegedly had one and a half pounds of meth that was recovered from the scene where the pursuit ended.
Police department officials say “Because of all the tips received from that posting and subsequent follow up and investigation in reference to the leads generated by the post, a suspect has been identified. The Higginsville Police Department anticipates felony charges to be filed for that individual from the Lafayette County Prosecutor.”
