
A Belton man who is facing a drug-related felony charge after authorities say they found controlled substances on him and in his vehicle in Pettis County on March 5 is due in court.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities executed a narcotics search warrant on Bugger Town Road and say they found more than $1,200 and a small Ziploc bag containing a crystal substance in jeans that belonged to Ricky Coutts. In his vehicle, authorities say they also located 10 separate clear bags containing a crystal substance, weighing a total of 138 grams.
Coutts is charged with a felony for trafficking drugs in the second degree. Coutts posted surety bond on March 25.
The case was bound over the trial division, and Coutts pleaded not guilty on June 7.
Coutts’ next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, August 16, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
