Missouri Valley College archery student-athlete Senior Evan Baker, of Marshall, has captured a state title and set a new state record at the Missouri Archery Association State Outdoor Championship.

Competing in Moberly, Baker finished with an overall score of 696/720, and set a new record in the state for highest score by an archery competitor. In addition to the state championship, Baker was named the Missouri Archer of the Year, the second-straight year he has earned that award.

Baker adds to his accolades over the summer break. In May, he earned recognition as a 2021 USA Archery All-American, based on his performances at both the indoor and outdoor USA Archery National competitions.
