
During a closed session of the Marshall School Board on Tuesday, August 17, the board approved several resignations and employment and was informed of transfers of personnel.
According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board accepted the resignations of:
— Christie Knott, BMS/MHS School Nurse;
— Sarah Love, TLC Para;
— Rhett Bellon, Instructional Coach as of September 10, 2021;
— Anisha Standley, Spainhower Kindergarten Para; and
— Matt Riley, Maintenance Director, as of August 27, 2021
The board approved the employment of:
— Theresa Gittens, Benton 3rd-Grade Leader;
— Brittany Jones, Eastwood 2nd-Grade Leader;
— Heather Sappington, Eastwood 3rd-Grade Leader;
— Wendy Hartley, Eastwood 4th-Grade Leader;

The board also approved the hiring of Connor Grossenburg, Clean Up and Landscaping at Central Office, the Saline County Career Center and Spainhower Primary School on an as-needed basis.
The board was informed of the following transfers:
— Katherine Smith, Spainhower Special Ed Para to EC Para;
— Alyssa Dunlap, Spainhower Kindergarten Para to EC Para;
— Rachel Brunkhorst, Assistant BMS Track to Head BMS Track; and
— Will Grace, Boys Freshman Basketball to Boys Assistant Basketball.
Deborah Whitis and Mackenzie Wooster, representing the State Auditor’s Office, were present to discuss the audit which had been done by the office. The Auditor’s Office will release the results of this audit to the public later in the fall.
