Another 35 positive cases of COVID-19 were added over the weekend and on Monday, August 23, in Lafayette County.

According to the Lafayette County Health Department, the active case count increased by eight from 139 to 147 from Friday, August 20, to Monday.

There have been 3,234 positive cases and 64 COVID-19-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 17 persons hospitalized due to COVID-19- up from 16 on Friday.

As of August 19, the positivity rate was 17.83 percent, according to the CDC Data Tracker.
