A 44-year-old Otterville man has been charged with a felony for allegedly making threatening posts on social media.

According to a Sedalia Police report, on August 9, an officer made contact with a person at Diversified Workforce, who told the officer that she was informed by the Human Resources Manager at Black and Decker that Timothy Showman had made threats online, and may have mentioned her in the threat. Authorities also investigated other posts allegedly made by Showman.

According to court documents, Showman is charged with a felony for terrorist threat in the first degree. Showman posted $25,000 surety bond on August 13.

Showman’s initial hearing is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
