An Odessa man who has been charged with felonies after an alleged incident on Highway 131 on June 29 is due in court this week.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say the driver of a UTV was traveling at 73 mph and failed to stop and yield. Anthony Glen Schuldt pulled onto Cox School road and 9th Street, and the deputy identified a 14-year-old male passenger.
Court documents say Schuldt is charged with felonies for a DWI- chronic and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree, as well as misdemeanors for resisting arrest and harassment.
Schuldt was arraigned on July 7, and his bond was reduced from no bond to $100,000 cash or surety, with 10-percent allowed. He posted the required $10,000 bond on July 9.
Schuldt’s next hearing is scheduled to be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
