The City of Slater held its annual tax rate hearing on Tuesday, August 24.

During the meeting, the board approved the rate at $1.1064 per $100 of assessed valuation for real and personal property. City Administrator Gene Griffith says this rate is approximately 24 cents lowers than the rate in 2020.

The rate now will have to be approved by the state auditor’s office.
