A 60-year-old Odessa man is facing a sex-related felony charge for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female.

According to a report from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, a woman told authorities the girl reported to her that William W. Polen has been inappropriately touching her for a while. During his interview with authorities, Polen denied the allegations.

According to court documents, Polen is charged with a felony for sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 years old. The court amended bond from no bond to $100,000 cash or surety on August 25.

Polen pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on August 17. His next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
