
There are several events coming up for students and parents in the Sedalia School District 200 prior to the start of classes next month.
According to the district, Freshman Orientation at Smith-Cotton High School starts at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 31.
Open Houses are scheduled: all elementary schools and Sedalia Middle School from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday, August 30; Smith Cotton Junior High from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31; and Smith-Cotton High School from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15.
Face coverings are required for all students, staff members and visitors inside Sedalia 200 buildings, including at Open Houses. Masks will be provided for those who do not have one.
The first day of school for students in grades K-12 is Wednesday, September 1. The first day for Pre-K students at the Early Childhood Center is Thursday, September 2.
Breakfast and lunch will be free for all students again this year.
