
A 59-year-old Chilhowee man was killed in a traffic crash in Johnson County on Friday, August 27.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 37-year-old Christina Worthington, of Holden, crossed the center line and struck a northbound Kawasaki Vulcan, driven by Billy Fields, head-on.
Fields, who was ejected off the motorcycle, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 10:59 a.m. by Johnson County Deputy Coroner Mike Coleman. Worthington sustained minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment.
The crash happened at 10:48 a.m. at 311 SW Missouri Highway 58 in Centerview.
