Gloria M. Thierfelder, 91, of Marshall, formerly of Frankfort, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at The Living Center in Marshall.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at New Frankfort Cemetery, with Rev. Paul List officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Haynes, Dennis Haynes, Kenny Haynes, Justin Haynes, and Larry Skinner.   Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born September 29, 1929 in Miami, she was the daughter of the late Tom Morrell Gilliam and Lula Mae McClain Gilliam.  On April 8, 1950 in Slater, she married Joseph Donald Thierfelder, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1999.

She is survived by a son, Lenny Carver of Marshall; two daughters, Sherry Taylor of Slater, and Glenita Knapp of Sedalia; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her companion, Billy Ray Haynes.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Jackson.

Mrs. Thierfelder was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slater.

She had worked at Central R-2 School, Western Auto in Slater, and The Little Store in Gilliam.
