With Spainhower Primary School scheduled to be closed for a week and three Marshall High School football games- including varsity contests on Friday, September 3, and Friday, September 10- Marshall Public Schools’ administrators issued a graphic to explain scenarios regarding quarantining in the instance of a person who is deemed a close contact to a person who tests positive for COVID-19 or one of its variants, as of September 1.

According to the graphic, one scenario is: if the close contacts are fully vaccinated- no quarantine is necessary (without symptoms) for inside class, work or activities.

2. If the close contacts are wearing masks, then no quarantine (without symptoms) for inside class, work or activities.

3. If the close contacts are not fully vaccinated, and are wearing masks, then no quarantine (without symptoms) for inside class, work or activities.

4. If close contacts are not fully vaccinated and one is wearing a mask and the other isn’t, then they both need to quarantine.

5. If both are not fully vaccinated and both are not wearing masks, then they both must quarantine.

6. Any positive case- vaccinated or not- must quarantine.

The quarantining guidance is subject to change.
