The Missouri Public Service Commission has set the formal evidentiary hearing schedule in a natural gas rate case filed by The Empire District Gas Company – Liberty. Evidentiary hearings are scheduled for March 21 through March 25 and March 28 through April 1, 2022.

According to a press release, these hearings will be held in the Governor Office Building at 200 Madison Street, in Jefferson City. This building meets the accessibility standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Officials say if you need additional accommodations to participate in these hearings, please call the Public Service Commission’s Hotline at 1-800-392-4211 or Relay Missouri at 711 before the hearings. Hearings will also be streamed live on the Commission’s website.

On August 23, Liberty filed a natural gas rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking an increase in its base distribution revenues of approximately $1.36 million.

Liberty provides natural gas service to approximately 43,500 natural gas customers in 19 Missouri counties including Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis and Saline in the KMMO listening area.
