More than 25 students have been quarantined due to COVID-19 protocols in the Lexington R-5 School District.

According to district officials, there were three total positive cases of the virus in the district as of 3 p.m. Friday, September 3.

Two of the positive cases were at Lexington High School and the other at ECC.

In all, 27 students were quarantined at the time of the update.

District officials say, “If your student is considered a close contact, you will be notified by the district.”
