Kirk Moten, 56, of Blue Springs and formerly of Marshall, passed away on Monday, September 6.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, at Malta Bend United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday.

Kirk Anthony Moten was born March 26, 1965 in Marshall, MO, the son of Sam and Shirley Napier Moten. He was a fraud specialist for Charter Cable. Kirk was a fan of many kinds of sports and he especially loved tennis. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He married Jennifer Benham February 14, 1990.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Jennifer Moten of the home, two children Clayton Moten of Platt City, MO and Kiarra Moten of Blue Springs, MO, his father Sam(Sandy) Moten of Marshall, MO, his father in law George Benham and his mother in law Marie Benham of Marshall, Mo, two grandchildren Nolan and Jacquie, and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Moten, his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Food will be served by the family after the service at the Malta Bend United Methodist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of H.T. May and Son Funeral Home.
