Norma L. Dunn, 76, of Concordia, MO, died Sunday, September 5, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, at Bethel United Church of Christ in Concordia with Rev. Dr. Alan Gatewood and William W. Harlow officiating.  Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Bethel Cemetery in Concordia.  Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel United Church of Christ.  Memorials are suggested to Bethel United Church of Christ Church, the American Lung Association or family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born December 12, 1944, in Macon, MO, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. Payson and Mildred Froning Payson.  Norma graduated from Carrollton High School in 1963 and then earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Missouri State University, now University of Central Missouri.  On February 5, 1966 she married Jack L. Dunn who survives of the home.  Norma began her career as an art teacher and taught in the Concordia R-2 School from 1974 until she retired in 2000.  She was a Beta Sigma Phi (Beta Psi Master), a member of Bethel United Church of Christ and active in the Higginsville Country Club.

In addition to her husband, Jack; she is survived by two children, Kathryn Wood (Darren) of Concordia and John Dunn of Blue Springs; five grandchildren: Cassandra McCollum, Spencer Wood, Samantha Jones, Megan Kiger and Kaiya Dunn; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosanna Don Carlos of Sibley and Nancy Gardner of Warrensburg; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and one great granddaughter, Lainey Karolyne McGee.
