The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved some bills during its meeting on Tuesday, September 7.
According to City Administrator Jeanette Dobson, aldermen approved a bill for the subdivision- Wayne Lieser Living Trust (Overland Dollar General). On August 26, the city of Higginsville Planning Commission met and supported this approval. The approximate location of this property is north of Pizza Hut on the west side of Highway 13.
Dobson said the board also approved the replat of the Campbell Minor Plat Subdivision (John M. and Donna F. Campbell). This property is in the vicinity of the intersection on Highway 13 and Osborne Road.
Also, Dobson said the Missouri Highways Transportation Commission amendment to the state block grant agreement to design hangers and a taxi lane and design apron rehabilitation at the Higginsville Industrial Municipal Airport was approved. This amendment for $43,200 is a portion of the airport’s 2021 Federal Entitlement Funds recently received by MoDOT.
Dobson also noted the chip-and-seal work on some city streets is scheduled to start the week of September 20.
