Lafayette County reported two additional COVID-19-related death Friday, September 10.

According to the Lafayette County Health Department, the death raises the total to 69 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The active case count remains at 87, and the number of hospitalizations remains at 15.

Officials say the number of total cases reported at the state and federal level may vary. This is due to data entry discrepancies in the state’s system and lag-times.

As a reminder, the health department is administering the Pfizer vaccine (available for persons at least 12 years of age) Mondays and Wednesdays at its clinic. The clinic is scheduled to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
