The Marshall City Council was asked to approve some agreements for some street work that needs to be done during its meeting this week.

Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson said cold milling and asphalt overlay bids were approved at a previous council meeting.

The price is $2.06 per square yard of cold milling and $99 per ton for asphalt concrete overlay.

Anderson said a bid for paving fabric is one that was not previously approved by the council.

The price is $2.96 per square yard of paving fabric.

The council approved all of Anderson’s requests.

In other news, Mayor Julie Schwetz said the search for a new city administrator is entering the home stretch.

Marshall has been without a city administrator since the resignation of David Haugland in early May.
