
During the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Tuesday, September 7, Ward 2 Councilman Kirk Arends said the demolition of the big buildings on the former Marshall Habilitation Center campus is progressing well.
In other news from the meeting, the council approved the second reading of an ordinance to amend the city’s building code regarding building permit fees. During a previous council meeting, City Code Official and City Inspector Mike Morgan explained a chart the city will use.
Also, the council approved the second reading of an ordinance for the implementation of court software.
In addition, the council approved the second reading of an ordinance to execute an agreement between the city and the Missouri Department of Conservation concerning Amary and Minesa Lakes. It is for the general maintenance and management of Amary Lake and Lake Minesa, and for the establishment of a winter trout fishery at Lake Minesa.
