The active case count of COVID-19 continues to increase in Saline County.

According to the Saline County Health Department’s dashboard, the active case count increased to 169 on Sunday, September 12, up from 158 on Thursday, September 9.

The COVID-19-related death count remains at 73 in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.

In all, there have been 3,769 total- 3,215 confirmed and 554 probable cases.

There have been 158 positive cases in the last week and 272 in the last two weeks.

By age group, the positive number of cases are: 701 in the Under 20 group; 626 in 20 to 29; 586 in 30 to 39; 496 in 40 to 49; 489 in 50 to 59; 422 in 60 to 69; 268 in 70 to 79; and 181 in 80-plus.

Health department officials say free COVID-19 testing is available from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Katy Trail Community Health at 1825 South Atchison Avenue in Marshall.
