A Marshall woman arrested after an incident on July 30 has a court proceeding set for this week.

According to a Saline County Sheriff’s report, a deputy responded to a residence in Gilliam in regards to a physical disturbance in progress.

Multiple types of narcotics and drug paraphernalia allegedly were located in the room with the two subjects. Both subjects were arrested. However, only one has been formally charged thus far.

According to court documents, Shyla Lynn Lawrence is charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

Lawrence pleaded not guilty on August 9. Her plea/trial-setting hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, September 13, at Saline County Circuit Court.
