A Franklin man is facing a drug-related felony charge after the execution of a search warrant by authorities on Tuesday, September 14.
According to a probable-cause statement, members of the East Central Drug Task Force and Howard County Sheriff’s office executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence. Kevin Ronald Jones was apprehended without incident.
Upon the search of the property, authorities say they found multiple baggies containing methamphetamine; two glass pipes; a digital scale; several small plastic bags; and a small amount of marijuana. Some of the items were found in the east yard in close proximity to Jones’ bedroom. Authorities say Jones admitted to possessing the baggies and throwing them out of his bedroom window upon the arrival of authorities.
Court documents say Jones is charged with a felony for delivery of a controlled substance and a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond is fixed at $50,000 cash only.
Jones’ initial hearing is pending at Howard County Circuit Court.
