Charged with a felony for allegedly participating in the assault of another man last year, a Slater man is due in court.

According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say Daniel Hamblen and another person assaulted a man on October 3.

Court documents say Hamblen is charged with a felony for third-degree assault. Bond remains at $15,000 cash only. Hamblen’s lawyer filed a motion for bond reduction on September 12.

Hamblen’s case was bound over to the trial division, and he pleaded not guilty on July 26. A plea/trial-setting hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, September 20, at Saline County Circuit Court.
