
The results of the 2021 Missouri State Corn Husking Championship have been announced for the 13 different categories.
In the Rookie division, 16-year-old Shayla Castler won with a net score of 47.5 pounds.
Girls 14-and-under: 13-year-old Ashlyn Clard won with 77.2 pounds; 14-year-old Kyle Gibson won the boys category with 65.82 pounds.
In the girls 15 to 20 age group, 19-year-old Skylar Huff won with 79.5 pounds; and the boys 15 to 20 was won by 20-year-old Nickolus Myers with 121.52 pounds.
Golden Agers men was won by 88-year-old John Becker with 93 pounds; and Golden Agers women was won by Judy Deal with 59 pounds.
In the women’s 21 to 49 years old group, Shanna Clark won with 221.10 pounds; and the men’s group was won by Rodney Gibson with 268 pounds.
In women 50 and over, Joan Carroll was the winner with 151.5 pounds; and Ralph Dorrell won the men’s category with 186.24 pounds.
The Women’s Open category was won by Rochelle Myers with 153 pounds; and the Men’s Open was won by Khris Deal with 274.5 pounds.
The event was held Saturday, September 18, at the Saline County Fairgrounds in Marshall.
