During the Slater City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 21, Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri said this year’s Fall Festival will have a later start compared to previous years.

The Slater Fall Festival is scheduled to get underway on Thursday, October 14, with a carnival and will run through Saturday, October 16.

Dr. Allegri said the festival is an event that many residents look forward to.

In other news regarding the fall season, Dr. Allegri asked that residents avoid burning leaves in the streets. Residents can make a burn pile in their own yards, however, burning leaves in the streets will result in a ticket.
