Area authorities made a couple of drug arrests on Thursday, September 23.

According to a release from the Sedalia Police Department, officers and detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit (CRU) executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of West 4th Street relating to an ongoing drug investigation. Officers forced entry into the home and encountered several subjects.

Authorities say during a search of the residence they located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia items and additional evidence to indicate methamphetamine and marijuana were being distributed from the home.

According to court documents, Sedalia residents Holden B. Browning and Jacob C. Astor each is charged with felonies for possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child- no sexual contact. Bond for each subject is set at $7,000 cash or surety.

An initial hearing for each subject is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
