
John Aubrey Clyde Jr., age 72, of rural Marshall, MO, died Thursday, September 23, 2021, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October, 2, at Malta Bend Cemetery, with William W. Harlow officiating. Just as John wasn’t a real formal or flashy person, the family request that everyone dress casually and comfortably in his honor. Friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, October 1, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

Born May 8, 1949, in Waverly, MO, he was the son of the late John Aubrey Clyde Sr. and Ellen Houston McRoberts Clyde. John graduated from Evergreen High School in Evergreen, CO, in 1967 and then earned his degree in education from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. He taught auto mechanics and woodworking in Bellevue, NE, for four years, as well as coaching the wrestling team. On June 17, 1978, he married Peggy Wiley who survives of the home. John returned to the family farm to help his father and remained there farming with his cousins, Joe and Tom McRoberts. In addition to working on the farm, John worked with Boedeker Construction and with the Malta Bend Special Road District. John enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife, Peggy; he is survived by two children, Jennifer Rose Ellen Clyde Bowden (Jared Bowden) of Casper, WY and Petty Officer 1st Class Brandon John Clyde (Kristen Bowling Clyde) of Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA; five grandchildren: Lily Marie Clyde (16), Delilah Clyde (10), Aislyn Grace Bowden (10), Dylan Channa Clyde (6) and LyHam Brae Clyde (5); three siblings: Frank “Buddy” Blosser (Audrey) of Denver, CO, Susan Clyde (Peter Siegwald) of Washington, D.C. and JoEllen Kellerman (Pat) of Overland Park, KS; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
