
The 51st Carrollton Band Day took place on Saturday, September 25, and one area band left with a Grand Champion award.
According to results from Carrollton Band Director David Phillips, Fayette earned the Grand Champion award in the Class 1, 2 and 3 Division.
In the Class 1 Division, Stewartsville won the Parade category; in Class 2 Fayette was No. 1; and Macon won Class 3.
In the Indoor Auxiliary category, Leeton was first in Class 1, Smithton in Class 2 and Lawson in Class 3.
Indoor Drumline winning bands were Norborne in Class 1; Gallatin in Class 2; and Trenton in Class 3.
Field Caption awards- Outstanding Auxiliary went to Concordia in Class 1, Fayette in Class 2 and Macon in Class 3.
Field Caption awards- Outstanding Percussion were earned by Concordia in Class 1, Fayette in Class 2 and Boonville in Class 3.
Field Caption awards- Outstanding Drum Major went to Glasgow in Class 1, Fayette in Class 2 and Boonville in Class 3.
Concordia was voted best in Class 1 Field Competition, Fayette in Class 2 and Macon in Class 3.
Oak Grove Middle School also was Grand Champion of that age group. Tipton won Class 2 Parade; Clinton Class 3 Parade; Oak Grove Class 4 Parade; and Savannah Indoor Auxiliary.
