Two more COVID-19-related deaths have been reported in an area county on Monday, September 27.

According to the Pettis County Health Center, two deaths over the past week raise Pettis County’s total to 96 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The health center also reports there were 110 more confirmed positive cases during the week, increasing the total to 7,056, including 114 active cases. Twelve of the positives were breakthrough cases- fully vaccinated persons testing positive for the virus- making the breakthrough rate 10.9 percent. The breakthrough cases break down as five Pfizer, five Moderna and two Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

There currently are 21 persons hospitalized in the county due to the virus.
