Devastating flooding affected several counties in the state of Missouri in late June, and those counties were declared a disaster area and are eligible to apply for some relief funding.

During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, September 30, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden said the deadline to apply is this week.

However, Gooden said the entire state did not meet the criteria for individual assistance.

Gooden says there is a list of resources for individual homeowners available at the commissioners’ office.
