A single vehicle traffic crash in Benton County sent a Sedalia man to the hospital in serious conditions on Monday, October 4.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as the eastbound vehicle, driven by 40-year-old Andrew Dean, of Sedalia, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

Dean was transported by Life Flight helicopter to University Medical Center in Columbia.

The crash happened at approximately 10:54 a.m. on Route W, just west of Cougar Road.
