The active COVID-19 case count that was near triple digits late last week has dipped to under 70 in Saline County.

According to the Saline County Health Department’s Dashboard, there were 96 active cases on Thursday, September 30, but that number had fallen to 64 as of Wednesday, October 6.

There have been 4,106 total positive cases- up from 4,066 at last report since the beginning of the pandemic in the county. They break down as 3,381 confirmed and 725 probable cases. There have been 51 positives in the last week and 131 positives in the last two weeks.

There also have been 74 COVID-19-related deaths in the county.

The health department is offering the Pfizer vaccine on Thursdays, according to health department administrator Tara Brewer.

Katy Trail Community Health is offering free COVID-19 testing from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at its office at 1825 South Atchison Avenue in Marshall.
