A 69-year-old Sedalia man had to be flown from the scene of motorcycle crash in Cooper County on Saturday, October 9.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a northbound Harley Davidson, driven by Duane Dunkin, of Sedalia, was turning left. The driver of another motorcycle, Ronald Mock, was following closely and struck the rear of the Harley Davidson. Mock’s motorcycle then landed on himself.

Both drivers were not wearing a safety device. Mock was flown by MU Air Case to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries. Dunkin was not injured.

The crash happened at 6:57 p.m. on Missouri Highway 5 near Route E.
