LAFAYETTE COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATE 10/14/21TL

Another COVID-19-related death was reported by an area health department on Thursday, October 14.

According to the Lafayette County Health Department, the death raise the county’s total to 74 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The total of positive cases in the county is now 3,572. The county’s positivity rate is 12.45 percent as of October 10, according to the CDC COVID Data Tracker.

There currently are 51 active cases, including four persons hospitalized, due to the virus in the county.
