Elmer Lee Storck, 74, of rural Knob Noster, MO, passed away Saturday, October 16, at Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 25, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Michael Pottschmidt and Pastor Andrew Lehenbauer officiating. Inurnment with full military rites will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 25, at the church. Born June 14, 1947, in rural Knob Noster, he was the son of the late Willie Storck and Evelyn Tebbenkamp Storck. Elmer was a 1965 graduate of Knob Noster High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. On April 9, 1966, he married his high school sweet heart, Marjorie J. Boes, and they were blessed with over 55 years of marriage. Elmer served in the United States Army in Vietnam and was a proud member of V.F.W. Post 5649 and American Legion Post 258, in Concordia, where he served on the Honor Guard and as commander of AmVets Post 143 in Knob Noster. He worked for AT&T for over 25 years and then worked for Carlyle Van Lines in Warrensburg for 20 years. Elmer was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and its men’s club and Concordia Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, Marjorie; he is survived by one daughter, Lenna Braun (Brad) of Gregory, SD; one son, Gary Storck (Julie) of Grain Valley, MO; seven grandchildren: Mathew Braun (Nicole), Michael Braun (Kristin), Kurt Braun, Kade Braun, James Cox, Elizabeth Storck and Emily Storck; six great- grandchildren: Kendall, Vayah, Landry and Liv Braun, and Izabell and Ava Cox; one brother, Bill Storck (Shirley) of rural Knob Noster; a brother-in-law, Roger Harms of rural Knob Noster; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy; and one sister, Betty Jean Harms.
