UPDATE: ACCORDING TO MUNICIPAL SERVICES DIRECTOR BILL ANDERSON, EVERYTHING HAS BEEN WORKED OUT, AND TRASH SERVICE WILL BE RUNNING TODAY. HE SAID IT WILL BE JUST AS IF MONDAY WAS A HOLIDAY, AND WARD 1 WILL BE PICKED UP TODAY; WARD 2 ON WEDNESDAY; WARD 3 ON THURSDAY; AND WARD 4 ON FRIDAY.
Residents in Marshall’s Ward 1 did not have their trash picked up on Monday, October 18, due to a worker shortage.
At the meeting of the city council, City Administrator JD Kehrman said he had several items to discuss with the council involving Municipal Services during closed session.
After the closed session, Mayor Julie Schwetz gave an update via a phone call to KMMO.
Mayor Schwetz said the hope is for there to be sufficient crews to show up to provide sanitation service.
